The Six-16 Kodak arrives when Art-Deco
style is at the top. It is a folding camera but its design is
ispired from the clean lines of the Cubism movement. The volumes are
parallelepipedic and with cut-off corners.
From a technical standpoint, the Kodak Six-16
is the first camera made by Kodak using film 616.
This model has a shutter N°1 Diodak and Kodak
lens Anastigmat
1:6.3 f=126mm and a self-erectible opening. Another version of
the Kodak Six-16 equipped with a lens 1:4.5, does not have this sophisticated
opening.
The Kodak Six-16 was proposed in black or
brown finish.
Starting 1934, this model was also
manufactured in England.
After 1934, the design of the series Six-16
and
Six-20 continues to evolve and reaches a peak of style with the 2nd
generation of these models.
Unfortunately, after 1937 the third generation
has lost the charm of the previous models.
