Kinax I en version KINIR F

Kinax was a french company located at Montreuil-sous-bois, in the suburb of Paris.

It was an affiliate of the Etablissements Jousset. Its founder C.Jousset, has started his career by producing expanding chambers from 1880.

At the end of the 2nd world war, Kinax starts to produce folding cameras of very good quality.

The Kinax I is equiped of a lens Som KINN Berthiot 1:4,5 f=105. The focusing is made by rotating the lens. The shutter IPO can deliver a 1/350s speed.

It was available in several colors : Black, Brown, Burgundy.

From 1952, the company Kinax produced format 6 x 6, by-lens cameras, using Atoms body.
