From 1910 to the end of the 70's, Photo-Plait was one of the most active commercial companies for the marketing of cameras, optical equipments and radio.

The Duplex is a folding camera made of metal covered with a leather skin. It use glass plate of a 6,5 x 9 format or Rollfilm 120 (when equipped of the "Rollex" adapter).

The focusing can be adjusted from 1m to the infinite using a worm screw.

By rotating two dedicated knobs, the tray supporting the set shutter & lens can be moved off-center.

This camera was available with different types of optical system. The camera presented is equipped of a shutter Pronto S with self-timer and an automatic shutter release. It offers the following speeds : 1/25sec, 1/50sec, 1/100sec, pauses B and T. The lens is a Berthiot 1:4,5 f=105 mm.

The camera is also equipped of a rotating viewfinder associated with a spirit-level and a framing viewfinder.
It also has two threads for a tripod.
