Folding cameras
Originally, the range Cupido is created by the company Huttig which merges with Wunsche, Krugner and Carl Zeiss Palmos in order to create the company Ica A.G.

From 1920 to 1926, date when it merges this time with
Contessa-Nettel, Ernemann and Goerz to create the company Zeiss Ikon,  the company Ica A.G is very active. Its catalogue lists about forty models, declined in a variety of configurations.
The Cupido 75 model is produced from 1922 to 1926 by Ica A.G.

It is equipped with a shutter Compur (T, B, 1s, 1/2s, 1/5s, 1/10s, 1/25s, 1/50s, 1/100s, 1/250s) having the number 258646.

Its lens is an Ica Novar Anastigmat 1:6,8 f=105mm (the one I have has the number 514942). It can be possible to find configurations with lenses Heka Anastigmat f:6.8 or Carl Zeiss Tessar f:4.5

It uses glass plate format 6x9 mounted on a sheet metal.

Adjustment of the distance to the objective is done by rotating a lever located onto the front door of the camera. This lever acts on the shutter tray, moving it in its rails. The corresponding distance can be read on a distance scale labelled : 2, 3, 4,6, 12m, infinite.

It is also possible to vertically thrown-off the lens by turning a knob located on the up-right of the shutter.

The framing can be done following two processes :

bulletUsing the rotating viewfinder attached to the shutter tray. This viewfinder is coupled to a spirit level allowing a perfect positioning of the camera.
bullet

Using the frosted glass, mounted in a frame and positioned on the back of the camera. This back can be removed and replaced with the sensitive glass plate.

The Cupido 75 will disappear from the catalogue in 1928 after that the last cameras still available have been sold under the mark Zeiss Ikon.
