Agfa - Billy Record 8.8 (1936-1942)

Billy-Record was the designation of a series of cameras produced in the 30's.
A perfect finish and great characteristics have made the good reputation of this range of cameras to the general public.

The model presented here is a Billy-Record 8.8 equipped of a Jgestar anastigmat lens of a maximal aperture of f/8.8.

The focusing is made by selecting one of the two available ranges of distance to subject (2 to 5 m or  5m to infinite). Four speeds : 1/25 s, 1/50 s, 1/100 s and B.

The robust body is covered with a black Rexine.
The sides of the camera are decorated with a black and chrome Art-Déco design.

During its career, the Billy-Record has been proposed with different sets of shutter / lens :
bullet 1933 to 1942 : Lens Jgestar 1:6.3 f=100mm and shutter Pronto S
bullet 1933 to 1942 : Lens Jgestar 1:7.7 f=100mm and shutter Agfa-Automat
bullet 1936 to 1942 : Lens Jgestar 1:8.8 f=100mm and shutter Agfa-Automat
bullet 1936 to 1950 : Lens Apotar 1:4.5 f=105mm and shutter Prontor II
